Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every order placed through meidly.nl. Meidly is a registered trade name (handelsnaam) of a Dutch sole proprietorship with the following details:

Meidly sells handmade children's clothing, sewn by hand from upcycled second-hand fabric. Every piece is one-of-a-kind: each garment exists in a single size and is made from a single, non-repeating piece of fabric. Once a piece is sold, it cannot be re-made.

Because the fabric is second-hand, small irregularities (a faint mark, a tiny pattern offset, a slight asymmetry) are part of the character of the piece and not a defect. The photographs on the product page are the best available representation of the piece you will receive.

All prices on the site are in euros and are final. The price you see is the price you pay; Dutch BTW (21%) is included. Shipping is shown separately during checkout.

When you click Buy on an available piece, it is reserved for you for 20 minutes while you complete checkout. If you do not finish payment within that window, the piece is released and becomes available again to other visitors.

Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe Limited ("Stripe"). Meidly never sees or stores your full card details. A purchase is concluded when Stripe confirms payment; you will then receive an order confirmation by email.

We ship to addresses in the Netherlands only. Shipping is a flat €4.95 per order via PostNL tracked parcel. Orders are normally dispatched within five working days after the drop they belong to.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is damaged or lost in transit, contact us at hello@meidly.nl and we will work it out together with PostNL.

You have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the piece, without giving a reason. Full details, conditions, and the model withdrawal form are on our Returns & Withdrawal page.

Under Dutch law (Burgerlijk Wetboek, Book 7) you are entitled to a product that conforms to the description and is fit for normal use. If a piece arrives with a defect that is not part of its described character as a handmade, second-hand-fabric garment, contact us within a reasonable time and we will repair, replace (where possible), or refund the piece. This warranty exists in addition to your right of withdrawal and is not limited in time by these terms.

You can sign up to be notified when a new drop goes live. We use a double opt-in: you enter your email on the site, then click the confirmation link we send you. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every announcement email. The mailing list is operated using Resend (see Privacy Statement).

These terms and every purchase made under them are governed by Dutch law. If you have a complaint, please email us first at hello@meidly.nl so we can try to resolve it directly. As an EU consumer you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published at the moment you placed it; the date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
